Oberoi Hotel

Opened in January 1997, this 24 acre resort has 20 villas, most with private swimming pools, spacious garden courtyards, raised dining pavilions and 30 Terrace pavilions.

The large pavilions have a shaded terrace. Visual focus of the lobby is a 40 meter arced swimming pool flanked by decorative pools leading into the ocean.

Located opposite are the 3 Gili islands which have become well known for their colourful tropical fish and coral reefs. The Mataram Airport is just a 45 minute drive away, Mataram capital city is 33 kms away, Sengiggi tourist centre is 25 kms away and the Sedang Gila Waterfall is 55 kms away.

Accommodation

20 villas have private courtyard most with full size swimming pool. The Royal Villas have a lounge and kitchenette, Terrace Pavilions have a dining table. Rooms offers either garden view (GV), ocean view (OV), some are combined with a pool view as well.

All the rooms are decorated in local fabrics, artworks, furnishings, offering individually controlled air conditioning. ensuite bathroom, with a sunken bath, bathrobes, slippers, IDD telephones, computer data point, facsimile jack, voice mail, hairdryer, toiletries, in room safe, mini bar, newspapers, stereo radio/cassette player, VCR, and satellite TV

Lumbung fine dining restaurant offers a fine selection of Asian specialties and continental cuisine. The Beachfront Sunbird Cafe for al fresco dining and the Poolside Amphitheater for theme buffets and cultural performances. 24 hour room service is available. The hotel also offers the Tokek Bar and Pool Deck.

  • Massages
    • Ayurvedic Massage (60 minutes)
      A traditional Indian method of massage using oleation techniques for better penetration of the healing Ayurvedic oils. The invigorating strokes work on toning the body and detoxify the internal body systems.
    • Aromatic Massage (60 minutes)
      Specially blended essential oils penetrate the skin through massage strokes that stimulate the body system while enriching the skin with the natural properties of the oil. This massage produces a warming effect, improves blood circulation as well as relieves muscle aches.
    • Balinese Massage (60 minutes)
      Originating from Bali, this is a deep pressure massage using medium-depth strokes to reach below the superficial muscle layers. The oil and massage techniques combine to relief physical tension and induce relaxation.
    • Hawaiian Massage (60 minutes)
      Essential oil is quickly absorbed using the unique strokes in this massage to relieve fatigue, calm the mind and restore vital energy. It brings a warmth and glow to the surface of the skin.
    • Indian Head Massage (30 minutes)
      This ancient therapy was used traditionally by ladies in India to keep their long hair in healthy and beautiful condition. Pressure points on the scalp, neck and shoulder are stimulated to improve circulation, relieve tightness and tension and promote relaxation.
    • Oberoi Massage (60 minutes)
      A full body massage using palms and fingertips to apply pressure in a series of flowing movements to stimulate blood circulation and improve muscle tone. The blended oil used for this massage promotes concentration and rejuvenates the spirit.
    • Stress Relieving Massage (60 minutes)
      A combination of Thai and Western techniques, this body massage loosens muscular tension, improves blood circulation and balances the body functions.
    • Sole-therapy - no oil (60 minutes)
      The reflex points on the sole of the feet are worked on to stimulate energy flow so as to restore harmony to the body's function. A leg massage is included to promote relaxation to produce a sense of completeness.
    • Thai Massage - no oil (50 minutes)
      This massage concentrates on careful application of pressure to distribute energy, release blockage and stretch the muscles leaving the body relaxed, energetic and free from stiffness. A natural-fibre two piece outfit is worn during this massage.
