By car

Pulau Banding is located within the Belum-Temengor rainforest, which is situated midway between the east and west coasts of Malaysia. The nearest towns to Belum are Gerik in Perak and Jeli in Kelantan, which are linked to the East-West Highway. Driving to Pulau Banding from Kuala Lumpur takes about five hours.
               
From Kuala Lumpur, take the North-South Highway and head north towards Ipoh. Take the Kuala Kangsar exit and head towards Gerik, bypassing the town of Lenggong. This highway will take you straight to Pulau Banding.

By bus
