From Kuala Lumpur

  1. Take the PLUS highway to the South and exit at the Ayer Hitam/Kluang Exit. Take a right immediately after the toll.
  2. Drive straight passing through several sets of traffic lights. Before Kluang you will come to a roundabout - take the 3 o' clock exit (Mersing is signposted), continue straight for several kilometres until the next roundabout where you take the 12 o' clock exit. Follow road signs to Mersing.
  3. There will be a winding section through some plantations. Just continue to follow the signs to Mersing.
  4. Journey time - approx 4 to 5 hours.

Note:
- Leave at least 30 mins for parking and buying ferry tickets.
- SECURE PARKING is available at the jetty for approx RM8 per night. This is located just before the entrance to the jetty, on the left.

From Singapore

  1. Via Woodlands causeway: After crossing over to Malaysia take the first U turn heading back towards the causeway. You should be on Jalan Wong Ah Fook. Follow this road through Johor Bahru City passing City Square shopping mall on your right. Look for the overhead Bridge with the sign 'Kota Tinggi - Desaru'.
  2. Follow this sign to get onto Route 3. Keep on this road following the signs to Kota Tinggi and Mersing.
  3. Mersing is approx 138km from Johor Bahru.
  4. Via Tuas link: After clearing Malaysian Immigration head towards Johor Bahru and Pasir Gudang (exit 307 C).
  5. Keep straight following signs for Pasir Gudang, Kota Tinggi and Desaru. You will eventually turn off to join Route 3 (continue as per 'Woodlands' instructions above).
  6. Journey time - approx 3 to 4 hours.
