In western Phuket, Surin Beach is also called “Millionaires row” reflecting luxury homes and hotels in its environs. Powdery white sand, clear blue waters, and high waves in the dry season allow snorkeling and surfing. But the beach has dangerous currents during the rainy season. Restaurants and cafes abound on the beach, serving diverse cuisine. Sun loungers and umbrellas are offered for a fee. The Ban Thao Mosque in Surin Village is a major attraction.
