Endau- Rompin National Park Johor protects one of the most abudant and biologically diverse eco-systems on earth. It is a pristine, ancient wilderness covering about 49,000 hectares of mostly undisturbed lowland tropical rainforest in the state of Johor, West Malaysia.

The Endau-Rompin National Park Johor is home to many unique species of plant and animal life. The oldest rock formations of the Park's rugged forested ridges, sand stone plateaus, river valleys and spectacular thundering waterfalls, back more than 245 millions years.

The Park's botanical abundance, includes towering forest hardwoods, rare fan palms, pitcher plants, rattans, wild orchids and several species of medicinal plants.

Among the wildlife recorded in the Park are elephants, rhinoceros, leopards, tigers, tapirs, sun bears, deer and seladang (wild ox) together with more than 270 species of birds, including the distinctive Rhinoceros hornbill.

Itinerary:

Day 1:Kluang-Kahang-Kuala Jasin (Lunch/Dinner)

Transfer from Kluang to Kg. Peta through Kahang and palm oil estates by Van or 4WD.  Lunch, transfer to Kuala Jasin by motorised boat (beautifully situated at the confluence of Endau and Marong River, the unpolluted waterfall and rivers abound with variety of freshwater fishes.)

Day 2:Kuala Jasin-Kuala Marong-Upeh Guling-Tasik Air Biru (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

Start your trek under the shady canopy of the oldest jungle in the world and share the secrets of the wilderness. Enroute you will cross three clear water rivers to Kuiala Marong. There are also numerous waterfalls including Upeh Guling and Pulau Jasin Waterfall. After lunch, visit to blue tinted water of Tasik Air Biru. At night try Orang Asli games (rattan Kerchang, Kerchang Kawin, etc…) 

Day 3:Kuala Marong-Buaya Sangkut Waterfall-Kuala Jasin (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

Dismantle tent and clean up campsite, place all luggage at Kuala Marong. Trek to Buaya Sangkut Waterfall, many unique and endemic fan palms, climbing bamboo, rattan and pitcher plant. Hike over the Janing ridge, an interesting palm forest with different species of pitcher plants. Arrival spectacular Buaya Sangkut Waterfall, swim in the cool clear mountain streams and natural swimming pools.

Lunch at Buaya Sangkut Waterfall, trek back to Kuala Marong to pick up luggage and continue the trek to Kuala Jasin, watch out for bird life, insects and plant life. Arrival camp site, set up tent and have fun swimming, fishing or just relaxing in the quiet environment of this beautiful jungle.

Day 4:Kuala Jasin-Kluang (Breakfast/Lunch)

Back to Kg. Peta by motorised boat.  Enroute, pass through Orang Asli settlement and observe the orang asli depend on the river for their livelihood. After lunch, transfer by 4WD back to Kluang.
