ELEPHANTS AT WORK – HMONG NONG HOI VILLAGE – QUEEN SIRIKIT BOTANIC GARDEN

Half an hour north of Chiang Mai City, Mae Saa elephant camp is located in a pleasant forested valley. Here the elephants provide a demonstration of their skill, intelligence, good humor and strength. Continue to visit Hmong Nong Hoi tribal village and Queen Sirikit Botanic Garden and orchid farm. Covering an area of 560 acres, the botanic garden was established in 1992 in order to gather, conserve and strengthen the study and research on Thai plants and herbs. More than 700 species of plants, mostly Thai natives, are grown here. Visitors can drive around and drop in at the spots of their interest, e.g. the Orchid Breeding Center, the Herbs Center, and the Greenhouse.
