Sit, listen and enjoy a local breakfast whilst the locals gather and have their birds sing the most beautiful melodies in a competition. Then onto Brighthill Temple, a large place of worship and a crematorium. Next visit the Changi Chapel and Museum and see replicas of the chapel used by POWs during WWII. Then stop at Johore Battery to see the replica of the Monster Gun built by the British in 1939. Drive past varied housing areas ranging from the rich to the popular pigeon hole flats and traditional Peranakan style homes. After lunch, proceed to Tiger Balm Gardens, a Chinese mythology theme park. Followed by a visit to a chinese cemetery to understand the Chinese belief in Feng Shui for the dead. Thereafter to Kranji Dam, where Japanese first landed in Singapore during the Japanese Occupation and Kranji War Memorial. Last stop is the popular second hand market, Thief Market.
