From KUALA TERENGGANU airport, the journey to Kuala Besut jetty is about 90 minutes

From Singapore/Johor Bharu:
Connecting flight is available via Singapore to KLIA then Kota Bharu, but it is quite costly. When traveling from Singapore, one can consider the cheaper alternative of flying from Senai Airport, Johor Bharu with either MAS or AIR ASIA to KUALA TERENGGANU airport. The journey is just slightly longer due to land transfer from Singapore to Senai. Traveling time from Singapore to Senai Airport is about 2 hours.

Taxi or limousine services are easily available from both Kuala Terengganu and Kota Bahru* airports to Kuala Besut boat terminal.

Express bus service is available daily from Johor Bharu (9 hrs) / Singapore (9.5 hrs), Penang (6 hrs) and Kuala Lumpur (7 hrs) to Jerteh which is the nearest bus terminal to Kuala Besut Jetty.

*Travel from Jerteh to Kuala Besut takes about 15 minutes

By Train
Train service is available nightly with comfortable sleeping berth from Kuala Lumpur or Johor Bharu / Singapore to Kelantan and terminates its north bound service at Wakaf Baru and Tumput.

Tanah Merah which is one of the stops en-route is the recommended de-embarkation point as the journey from Tanah Merah to Kuala Besut is shorter, about 45 Minutes.

Taxi services are available from Tanah Merah to Kuala Besut boat terminal.
