Itinerary:
5 Days 4 Nights
  • Day 1 ARRIVAL YOGYAKARTA (Dinner Included)
    Upon your arrival in Adisucipto International Airport of Jogja, meet with our friendly tour guide then go to have Lunch (If arrival before 16.00) and direct to hotel for check in, or dinner (If arrival after 16.00) and direct to hotel. Lunch or Dinner at Ayam Goreng Suharti Restaurant – traditional restaurant serve Fried Kampong Chicken, and then transfer to hotel of your choice.

  • Day 2 JOGJA EXCURSIONS AND SHOPPING (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner Included)
    After breakfast at hotel you’ll be directed to see the magnificience of BOROBUDUR TEMPLE, the most well-known Buddhist temple. This famous temple, dating from the 8th and 9th century was given a status of World Heritage by UNESCO in 1991. It was built in three tiers all symbolizing the human being’s stages. The base is a pyramidal base with 5 concentric square terraces-the symbol of human being that are still bound by lust. The middle four terraces symbolizing human beings that have set themselves free from lust but are still bound to appearance and shape. On this terrace, Buddha effigies are placed in open space, while the other upper three terraces where Buddha effigies are confined in domes with wholes, symbolizing human beings that have been free from lust, appearance and shape. The top part that is a monumental stupa symbolizes nirvana, where Buddha is residing. The walls are decorated with nearly 1500 fine narrative reliefs panels, covering a total surface area of 2,500m2. On the way back to Jogja, we will pass thru MENDUT AND PAWON Temples. These smaller temples was intended to top Borobudur, but it is impossible to raise it to the summit. We continue to visit SULTAN PALACE (KRATON) - the place where the King or Queen lives. This still active Palace is defined as the center of the world, where the cultural and political heart of the city takes place in this walled royal enclave. If you are lucky enough, you will bump into the Reigning Sultan himself, as he sometimes takes a stroll down the Kraton Complex. Then we will arrange you to have Lunch in the Kraton complex. You will taste the Sultan’s foods and enjoy the ambiance in Sultan’s brother’s house. The family still live in the house and you can see the memorabilias of the Sultan’s family while waiting for your food to be served. How often can you sit down in Royal’s house and having lunch there? It will be a memorable experience you treasure for a life time. Our next stop will be TAMAN SARI WATER CASTLE, a complex of pools, canals and palaces built for the late-late Sultans and his wifes and childrens to swim or take a bath. Afternoon we continue go to Parang Tritis Beach. Returning from the beach, we will take you to Buffet dinner where you can experience the TRADITIONAL LOCAL CUISINES. One of the many dishes you will try is GUDEG – a specialty and unique to the region- made of young jackfruit in a spicy coconut sauce, served with egg, chicken, or tempe, and sweetened with palm sugar. Yummy…Then we take you back to hotel to rest.

  • Day 3 SOLO EXCURSION (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner Included)
    Breakfast at hotel then we will go to Solo – the sister city of Jogja, it will take about 1.5 hour drive. On the way, we will visit PRAMBANAN TEMPLE- the grandest Hindu temple complex in Java. Built around 9th century AD, this temple is dedicated to SHIVA (one of Hindu deity). Rising above the centre of the last of these concentric squares are three temples decorated with reliefs illustrating the epic of the Ramayana, dedicated to the three great Hindu divinities (Shiva, Vishnu and Brahma) and three temples dedicated to the animals who serve them. It’s another World Heritage Sites given by UNESCO. Continue our journey to Solo,we will stop by for lunch at a local restaurant, and continue to visit the MANGKUNEGARAN PALACE. This palace founded in 1757 has a main structure in Javanese-European style. The museum has a collection of fascinating curios, interesting masks, and wonderful dining room. Continue our journey to BATIK FACTORY to see the batik making process, and YOU WILL LEARN HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN BATIK CREATION (scarf or handkerchief) that can be taken home for souvenir. Then stop at FLEA MARKET which always turns up something of interest before continue to PGS (Pusat Grosir Solo- Solo Wholesales Center) where you can buy your batik clothings with a wholesale prices, before going back to Jogja for dinner at local restaurant and return to hotel to rest.

  • Day 4 BOROBUDUR – COFFEE PLANTATION - SEMARANG (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner Included)

On the way to Semarang, we will stop by at COFFEE PLANTATION, to enjoy the original KOPI TUBRUK (black coffee). You also can try various aroma of coffee (at a small additional cost to taste different coffee). We can talk a little walk around the plantation before continue to Semarang for Dinner at local restaurant and check in hotel to rest.

  • Day 5 SEMARANG CITY TOUR – TRANSFER OUT (Breakfast Included)
    After breakfast, you will have a free time at your own leisure to shop around the city center or to relax. Lunch on your own arrangement. We will pick you up at the hotel after lunch time, to experience Semarang city tour. This historic tour of Semarang city will start at the Old Town Area, where you can see the reminiscent of golden memory by seeing the old buildings of the Dutch colonial age. Semarang was geographically a strategic coastal town during the Dutch colonial government. Hence, it became one of The Dutch administrative government center in Java Island. Today, the golden era of the former Dutch colonial government can be traced through the existence of a variety of old buildings at some parts of the city. From the Old Town you will be taken around for a religious tour starting from the Blenduk Cathedral church to Sam Poo Kong Temple and and Masjid Agung Grand Mosque of Central Java. Then we will take you to the Airport for flight back home. The tour ends here. See you at the next TX Travel program.
