3 Days / 2 Night Turtle Island, Sepilok, Sukau & Gomantong Escapade

DAY 1   Sandakan - Selingan Turtle Island (Lunch & Dinner)

• You will be meet and pick-up at Sandakan airport or hotel and transfer to Sabah Park Jetty in Sandakan. At 0930hrs, take boat approximately 1 hour to Selingan Turtle Island where it located at 40km from North Sandakan in the Sulu Sea off Sabah’s East Coast. There is the main nesting area for the Green Turtles and Hawksbill Turtles. After arrival, wait for lunch and you may have free leisure time ideal for relaxing, swimming and snorkeling until dinner time. After dinner, the Park Ranger will inform the right time for sighting of turtles laying eggs. Witness the collecting of eggs from the nesting site, planting them in the hatchery and see baby turtles scrambling to the open sea upon released on the shore.(Lunch & dinner)

Day 2   Sepilok Orang Utan - Bilit Rainforest Lodge - Kinabatangan River (Breakfast, lunch & dinner)

• After breakfast, return to Sandakan and proceed to the world famous Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre where situated in the Kabili – Sepilok Forest Reserve. Upon arrival, a short brief will be advised by your guide. Then, watch a video show documentary on rehabilitation of orphaned Orang Utan before taking a boardwalk through the lowland rainforest to have a look for the Orang Utan feeding on the feeding platform. Witness the feeding of Orang Utan at 1000hrs.
  
  Continue an approximately 2 hours driving distance to Bilit Rainforest Lodge which located beside the Lower Kinabatangan River in the village of Bilit, a base for easy exploration of the incredible diversity of plant, mammal and birds at the Kinabatangan region. Upon arrival at Bilit Jetty, take a boat transfer to the lodge. Enjoy the welcome drink, short briefing and proceed to check-in. Lunch will be prepared at Bilit Restaurant. At 1530hrs, enjoy afternoon tea break and short brief by the tour guide. At 1600hrs, proceed to Kinabatangan River Cruise to discover the Proboscis Monkeys, rarest birds and other wildlife animals. After tour, free leisure time until dinner at 1930hrs.

Day 3   Gomantong Cave - Sandakan Hotel / Airport (Breakfast & lunch)

• After breakfast, embark your air-conditioned transport and enjoy your 30 minutes ride through rustic countryside studded with villages. Arrive at Gomantong Caves which located in the heartland of the Gomantong Forest Reserve, a home of millions bats and swiftlets. Explore the biggest bird’s nest cave in Sabah and the best-managed edible birds’ nest. After the tour, enjoy your lunch and transfer to Sandakan airport or hotel.(Breakfast & lunch)
