Fushoushan Farm Fushoushan Farm, which is near Lishan, is also known as the Fortunate Life Mountain Farm. Fruit orchards stretched across a hilltop give this farm a more European outlook. Visitors can enter the farm through an arched gate less than one kilometer east of Lishan Village. A solarium of apple and pear orchards surrounds Western-style farmhouses. Villagers protect their fruits from birds and bees by wrapping them in bags individually. The fruits are sold when the season arrives. A small museum of local artifacts and illustrations is located at the entrance of the farm. Hsuen Shan Hsuen Shan has the reputation as Taiwan's second highest peak at 3,884 meters (12,743ft). Climbers of the mountain often spend a night at Wuling farm, a popular mountain resort that offers a panoramic view of the surrounding peaks. Special permits need to be obtained prior to the climb. These permits are obtainable from the Alpine Association in Taipei. Hohuan Shan
Wushe
Mountain palisades surround a reservoir in Wushe. The green-mirrored lake is a good example of a traditional Chinese landscape. Visitors can get to the lake following a trail that starts from the village. Shore fishing is allowed at the reservoir. Wushe became a landmark in Taiwan in 1930 when a bloody confrontation occurred between the local tribes and the Japanese forces. Many aboriginal lives were lost as compared to the Japanese. A memorial plaque in the village commemorates the massacre.

Ski
lovers should definitely not miss the slopes of Hohuan Shan Mountain,
the Mountain of Harmonious Happiness. Rising 3,420 meters (11,220ft) above
sea level, the mountain sits just 9km south of the village of Tayuling.
Hohuan Shan Ski Resort is Taiwan's one-and-only. During the months of
January to March, heavy snowfall turns the mountain tops white. To get
up to the slopes, a ski carrier about 400 meter long is generated. Most
ski resorts would provide ski equipment for rental. It is quite cold up
on the mountain, even in summer. Other recreational activities like hiking,
mountain climbing, and hot spring baths are popular during summer.
Wushe
is a small community town embraced by the tall summits of the Central
Range. The town is acclaimed for its crystal-clear mountainous air, along
with the abundance of wild-cherry and plum blossoms that manipulate the
village each spring.
