• Begin your day with a hotel pickup and scenic drive to Kubah National Park, located on a sandstone plateau about an hour away from Kuching. The park features a blend of dipterocarp and scrub forest, with isolated patches of kerangas (tropical heath forests), providing sanctuary for various endemic birds, mammals, reptiles and amphibians. More than 61 frog species have been identified here, representing nearly one-third of Borneo Island's total. Among the commonly observed species are the Lowland liter frogs. Bornean horned frog, Matang narrow-mouthed frog, Kuhl's creek frog, Giant River frog, Peat swamp frog, Mahogany frog, Spotted stream frog, File-eared tree frog, Dark eared tree frog, and Herlequin tree frog, among others, these frogs are vital indicators of the rainforest ecosystem's wellbeing, and a testament to the dedicated efforts of conservationists to protect their natural habitat.
